2012 Annual General Meeting

You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the business of the 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election of members to the Board of Directors. The 2012 Annual General Meeting of University Settlement will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.
We will be electing five members to the Board of Directors for three-year terms at this meeting and we are looking for suitable candidates. We are looking for individuals who will bring not only new ideas and energy, but who can also commit their time and talent.Â Attached is the Nominating Form. The deadline for the submission of Nomination Forms is Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. We will be appointing or reappointing an auditor and authorizing the directors to fix their remuneration.
Please note that, for the purposes of the 2012 Annual General Meeting, eligible voters are only those members who were:
i) in good standing on Thursday, June 6, 2013, or
ii) in good standing for 2012 and renew their 2013 membership prior to the commencement of the 2012 Annual General Meeting.
The membership fee for 2013 is $10.00 for adult and a special senior/youth rate of $5.00.Â Refreshments and an opportunity to meet the candidates standing for election to the Board of Directors will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.
If you cannot come to the meeting, you may exercise your right to vote by completing and signing the enclosed Proxy Form and delivering it to University Settlement either by (i) mail received at 23 Grange Road, Toronto, Ontario, M5T 1C3 Attention: Aisha Green, no later than Monday, June 17, 2013 or (ii) delivery at the meeting. Registration for proxy and voting will start at 6:00p.m. before the Annual General Meeting.Â In accordance with the University Settlement By-Laws, a proxy may only be held by an alternate person who is eighteen (18) years or older, with a limit of one proxy per alternate.
We are very pleased to have Mary Rowe provide a key note address at our Annual Meeting. Mary is Vice President & Managing Director of the Municipal Art Society of New York City, a century-old advocacy organization working to promote the livability and resilience of New York City.
