Our Seniors Expression Project was a year-long project funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. Headed by a committee composing mostly of seniors, it enabled participants to express a personal view of community life through photography. Seniors learned the art of the digital medium through workshops and the creation of a phtographic collage as well as share inspiring stories through portraits and oral histories curated as an exhibition for the CONTACT Photography Festival.

The participants had a chance to express themselves through oral histories and accounts, sharing stories to inspire younger generations. Below is a sample of the Project – Wesley Chin: First Snowfall.

The Seniors Expression Project will be on display at this year’s annual Grange Festival on August 9th.
