In addition, the Day Care is centrally located in beautiful Grange Park and is within walking distance to a number of cultural and educational attractions such as Kensington Market and the Art Gallery of Ontario. The Day Care offers a full range of services to 54 children from infancy to five years of age.
The members of the University Settlement Day Care Community participate in a relationship whose primary objective is the care and education of infants and young children. We believe that the many dimensions of a growing child must be addressed in an atmosphere that is both nurturing and stimulating. Each child who attends the centre is provided with opportunities to develop these dimensions of self in a group environment that takes into account the orderly and predictable stages of development through which children pass.
Child care services are offered to infants, junior toddlers, senior toddlers and preschool age children.
If you are interested in adding your name to our waiting list please fill out our Application Form and email or drop it off to our Director of Daycare. (See Attachment Application)

We make sure your child is always learning and growing in our stimulating and interactive environments. This includes opportunities for indoor and outdoor play, language development through a Letter land program, dramatic play and block play as well as science and nature experiences. We believe in inspiring creativity through the arts like music and we encourage infant and toddler signing and art.
By creating a safe, secure and warm environment, children will develop independence, confidence and a positive sense of themselves and the world around them. With the care, respect and love we provide, children can develop to their full potential. Because we have access to a pool, a gym and computers we are able to offer enrichment programs for our little ones. They are all included in our fees.
Swimming: Weekly swim program with emphasis on water exploration and water safety.
Music: Children explore the fundamentals of music through songs, finger plays and simple instruments.
