Immigrant Information and Orientation Program

Korean-speaking Settlement Services now available at our North York and Spadina locations!  

The Immigrant Information and Orientation Program (IIOP) for newcomers is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Through ISAP we offer a wide range of services and programs. These services include needs assessment, information and referral, settlement counseling, form filling, orientation and educational workshops, interpretation and translation, employment-related assistance, social networking activities for both adults and youth, festive celebrations, day trips, homework clubs, and conversation circles. Services and programs are available for newcomer adults and youth who are landed immigrants (with a Permanent Resident card), convention refugees and live-in caregivers holding a valid work permit. Our services are free and are offered in English, Farsi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Spanish.

  • English Writing: is one of our most popular classes. By taking this class, not only will you improve your English writing quickly, but also learn more about Canadian culture


  • Citizenship Preparation Sessions: A series of workshops in 6 sessions for Chinese-speaking group. We are going to review ‘Discover Canada’ and more.
  • Newcomer Orientation Workshop:  New to Canada and want to explore more about the new country that you are living in? This is a perfect orientation for you. You will also have the chance to get a Welcome Pack gift box with free products and gifts!

  • Toronto City Hall Visit: General overview presentation by City’s staff on government structure, the City’s budget, key services of the City and so on.
