Biography

Jaclyn has trained extensively in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Musical Theatre. She was an award winning competitive dancer and attended Etobicoke School of the Arts where she was a member of the Repertoire company DancESAtion. During those years she completed her pre-professional PAEC Exams in all genres, with Honours.

Jaclyn continued her dance journey by completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Ryerson University, where she won the prestigious Ryerson Dance Award (2015), and graduated on the Deans List. In recent years, Jaclyn has worked, and trained with many world renown choreographers and artists across North America.

Jaclyn has been an award winning Choreographer and Dance Teacher for 10 years. Along with her degree in Performance Dance, she has her Teacher Certification from the Tap Dance Centre, where she studied and learned from professional Tap Dancer Kim Chalovich. Jaclyn was a member of the Toronto Argonauts Dance/Cheer Team, and in 2017 was fortunate enough to participate in Grey Cup win! Most Recently, prior to 2020, Jaclyn was living part-time in Los Angeles, where she continued to train herself, and would bring back what she experienced & learned, to share with her students.

Jaclyn is continuously partaking in seminars, workshops, and online events surrounding working with children. Jaclyn places a big focus on creating a positive and friendly environment for all her classes, and looks forward to joining the family!
