Programs Designed for Women, Girls, and Gender Diverse Individuals
Women’s and Girls’ Empowerment Program is a new initiative at University Settlement that is designed to inspire, educate, and equip women, girls, and gender diverse individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive personally and professionally.
The program adopts a holistic approach to empowerment, and offers a wide range of FREE services, workshops, and classes to help foster self‑confidence and promote overall well‑being.

Resume and Employment Support
Weekly Online Resume Clinic
We provide weekly online Resume Clinic for individuals of all ages. If you are looking to improve your resume, we are here to help. These are 20-minute online appointments where we proofread your resume and ensure that your skills as well as experience are well tailored to the job you are applying.

Youth Employment and Academic Support
Leadership, Academic, and Employment Workshops for Girls
Through these workshops, we hope to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where girls can discover their unique strengths and learn the essential skills that will help them succeed academically and professionally.
Some of our workshop topics include:
- Time-management and organizational skills for school and employment
- Building leadership through goal setting and vision boards
- Overcoming gender stereotypes
- Building resilience and overcoming challenges

Our mindfulness and self‑care workshops offer individuals of all ages the opportunity to cultivate present‑moment awareness and enhance overall well‑being.

Join our weekly mindfulness practice group where we do a quick 20‑minute guided mindfulness check‑in. The sessions will take place on Zoom.

Women’s Health Workshops
Our women’s health workshops aim to educate and empower women on various aspects of their health. Topics covered include:

- Navigating menopause gracefully

Our domestic violence and abuse workshops provide a safe space for survivors, allies, and community members to come together and address the critical issue of domestic violence and abuse.

violence.
