Nicholas Shao is a Drums Teacher at University Settlement’s Music & Arts School. Nick Shao is a professional drummer based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto and is an active teacher, performer, session musician, and producer. With over ten years of teaching experience and over twenty years of education and performance experience, Nick welcomes students of all ages, abilities, and interests.

Biography

Nick Shao is a professional drummer based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto and is an active teacher, performer, session musician, and producer. With over ten years of teaching experience and over twenty years of education and performance experience, Nick welcomes students of all ages, abilities, and interests. He takes pride in being a lifelong learner himself and offers an encouraging, friendly, and practical approach to music education.

Nick performs regularly at clubs and festivals in Toronto and across North America with many groups and solo artists including Tiny Danza, GRAY, Young Doctors, and Olga Korsak.
