Essential Training for Leaders Who Work with Children
HIGH FIVE® is a nationally recognized certification. The Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) is a 4‑hour training that equips front‑line leaders (anyone working with children aged 4 to 12 – i.e. camp counsellors, coaches, after‑school staff, swim instructors) with the tools to immediately enhance the quality of the programs they are leading.
Learn to Support Children’s Social, Emotional, and Cognitive Needs
It provides essential training in the HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development so front‑line leaders understand what they need to do to ensure each child’s social, emotional and cognitive needs are met.
Training is based on research that identifies five principles of healthy development:
- A caring leader
- Play
- Friends
- Mastery
- Participation
Nationally Recognized Certification
Participants who successfully complete this training in full will receive nationally recognized certification and are provided with an additional complimentary online training, Healthy Minds for Healthy Children.
