March Break Camp

University Settlement’s In-Person March Break Camp offers fun and enriching activities for kids ages 4 to 13 during March Break.

March Break Fun for Ages 4 to 13:
March 13 to 17, 2023

We are so excited to welcome you back for our annual March Break Camp! Join us for a fun and exciting five full days of activities! Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on activities and supervised play throughout March Break.

This year, we will be running three cohorts: Explorers & Rangers Camp (ages 4 to 6), Voyagers Camp (ages 7 to 9), and Adventurers Camp (ages 10 to 13). Special activities this year will include swimming, a field trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), and much more!

Led by our HIGH-FIVE trained staff, campers will participate in various educational and enriching activities, such as swimming, science experiments, arts and crafts, gymnasium activities, outdoor fun, and more! 

Camp Dates

Monday to Friday (March 13th to 17th, 2023)

Time

  • Camp Day: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Early Drop-off option: Begins at 8:10 am
  • Extended Care option: Available from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Three Camp Cohorts

  • Explorers & Rangers Camp (for ages 4 to 6)
  • Voyagers Camp (for ages 7 to 9)
  • Adventurers Camp (for ages 10 to 13)

Activities and Field Trips

  • Monday, March 13: Art Gallery of Ontario and Swimming
  • Tuesday, March 14: Mini Golfing at Par-tee Putt
  • Wednesday, March 15: Swimming
  • Thursday, March 16: Rock Climbing at Mountain Equipment Company
  • Friday, March 17: Puppet Show for the youngest cohorts, and Marlies Game for the older cohorts

Other activities include:

  • Daily on-site swim time
  • Active Games and sports
  • Outdoor fun
  • Arts & Crafts
  • STEM activities
  • Cooking & Baking

Snacks

Children will receive a nutritious snack every morning and afternoon at University Settlement. All snacks will be individually wrapped.

Fees

  • Full week (5 days): $250
  • Daily Option: $50 per day (Please contact kidsprograms@universitysettlement.ca if you are interested in this option)
  • Early Drop-off: $10 per day
  • Extended Care: $10 per day

Financial Assistance

Families looking for Financial Assistance must contact kidsprograms@universitysettlement.ca to submit the most recent copy of the household Canada Child Benefit (CCB) statement and proof of address BEFORE registering for Camp. There is a limit to our subsidy funding, therefore, the subsidy is not guaranteed.

Payment Policy

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. Payment plans are available for the remaining balance, payment will be due 7 days prior to the start of camp. Refunds are based on the remaining balance.

Camp Refund Policy

Refunds for camps will be made if requested by email according to the timelines below. An in-house credit can also be obtained instead of a refund. This credit can be put towards other camps, programs, or membership fees if guidelines below are met. Refunds on credit cards are subject to the administrative fee deducted from the total amount. We reserve the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in cases of illness.

Refund Schedule
  • Refunds requested at least 15 days before start of the camp: 100% refund of remaining balance
  • Refunds requested 7 to 14 days before start of the camp: 75% refund of remaining balance
  • Refunds requested less than 7 days before start of the camp: 50% credit to your account
  • Refunds requested after the start of camp: no refunds offered

Transfer Policy

If you would like to transfer to a different camp day, a transfer request can be submitted before the initial camp week starts. Transfer approvals are dependent on available space in each camp week and only one transfer/camper will be permitted. A $10 administration fee will be charged.

Annual Agency Membership

Annual Agency Membership is required for all families participating in programs/activities at University Settlement (this includes one adult and up to 5 children – your partner can be listed as your child’s authorized pick up and emergency contact; if your spouse is interested in registering in programs for themselves, they will need to sign up for their own membership).
