March Break Camp

University Settlement’s In-Person March Break Camp offers fun and enriching activities for kids ages 4 to 12 during March Break.

March Break Camp 2022:
March 14 to 18

We are so excited to welcome you back for our annual March Break Camp! This year, we will be running two cohorts: Butterfly Camp (ages 4 to 6) and Ladybug Camp (ages 7 to 12). Special activities this year will include tai chi, a field trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), and much more!

Our in-person March Break Camp adheres to all Public Health Guidance. Activities will take place outside, and in our large, well-ventilated program rooms and gymnasium. All campers and staff are required to wear a mask when participating in indoor activities, except for snack time and swimming. Campers will be physically distanced from one another during swim time.

Led by our HIGH-FIVE trained staff, campers will participate in various educational and enriching activities, such as swimming, science experiments, arts and crafts, gymnasium activities, outdoor fun, and more! 

Camp Dates

Monday to Friday (March 14th to 18th, 2022)

Time

9:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday
(Early drop-off and late pick-up options available for an additional cost)

Age Groups

  • Ages 4 to 6 (Butterfly Camp)
  • Ages 7 to 12 (Ladybug Camp)

$250 for the full week

Small Cohorts (15 Campers Each)

Our Butterfly Camp (ages 4 to 6) and Ladybug Camp (ages 7 to 12) are limited to 15 campers each. Each camp will be held in different program rooms and will participate in March Break Camp activities separately.

Activities and Field Trips

Camp activities will include a special field trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), tai chi, swimming, science experiments, arts and crafts, sports, outdoor fun, and more! 

Snacks

Children will receive a nutritious snack every morning and afternoon at University Settlement. All snacks will be individually wrapped. Children will be physically distanced during snack times.

HIGH FIVE™ Accredited

March Break Camp at University Settlement offers social-recreational activities that provide children with opportunities to build skills, confidence, and community. Activities include swimming, active games, crafts, and science experiments that help children master new skills in a fun, creative environment.

Led by our HIGH FIVE™ trained staff, our March Break Camp offers age-appropriate, unique, fun experiences that nurture exploration, spark imagination, and provide opportunities for physical activity and making new friends.

HIGH FIVE™, Canada’s only comprehensive quality standard for children’s programs, holds true to the following five Principles of healthy child development that are essential for providing a positive experience for kids: A Caring Adult, Friends, Play, Mastery, and Participation.

Subsidies

Subsidies between 30-70% are available for eligible families. Applications can be made through our online registration portal, CampBrain.

Keeping You and Your Family Safe: COVID-19 Protocols

Your family’s health and safety is our top priority. Here are some of the safety enhancements we have added to our March Break program to keep everyone as safe as possible:

Daily Screenings

Daily screening protocols for all staff, parents/guardians prior to entering the building.

Small Cohorts

Only 15 children will form a cohort.

Extra Cleaning and Sanitizing

Extra cleaning and sanitizing protocols will take place throughout the day.

Outdoor Programming

Weather permitting, activities will take place outside in the park as well as in our well-ventilated program rooms.

Face Masks

All campers and staff are required to wear a mask when participating in indoor activities, except for snack time and swimming.

Physical Distancing

All activities planned to ensure minimum 6ft distance is maintained between children at all times.

We will continue to follow all advice from municipal and provincial Public Health authorities, and we will be following all Public Health and Government guidelines for safe Afterschool program operations.
