PA Day Camps

Join us for swimming, crafts, dance, games, sports…and more! Led by our HIGH FIVE™ trained staff, University Settlement’s PA Day Camps offer age-appropriate, unique, fun experiences that nurture exploration, spark imagination, and provide opportunities for physical activity.

Fun-Filled PA Day Camps for Children Ages 4 to 12

Join us for fun-filled PA Day Camps at University Settlement! Open to all children ages 4 to 12. The program includes active games in our gym, on-site leisure swim time, arts & crafts and a field trip to a local destination each month (weather permitting)!

Led by our HIGH FIVE™ trained staff, University Settlement’s Day Camps offer age-appropriate, unique, fun experiences that nurture exploration, spark imagination, and provide opportunities for physical activity.

Registration opens Wednesday, September 13th. Please note: there is no same-day registration for PA Day Camps.

Three Camp Cohorts

  • Explorers & Rangers Camp: For ages 4 to 6
  • Voyagers Camp: For ages 7 to 9
  • Adventurers Camp: For ages 10 to 12

2023-2024 PA Day Camp Dates

  • Friday, October 6 (Bus trip to the Little Canada)
  • Friday, November 17

Time

  • Camp Day: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Early drop-off (optional): 8:10 am to 9:00 am
  • Late pick-up (optional): 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Fees

  • $55 per PA Day (9:00 am to 4:30 pm)
  • $10 per Extended Care Option (Early Drop-off or Late Pick-up). Please ensure you add extended care options to your cart upon registration if you are interested in participating in our extended care program.
  • Please note: Annual Agency Membership is required for all families participating in programs/activities at University Settlement (this includes one adult and up to 5 children; if your spouse is interested in registering in programs for themselves, they need to sign up for their own membership)

Financial Assistance

Families looking for Financial Assistance must contact kidsprograms@universitysettlement.ca to submit the most recent copy of the household Canada Child Benefit (CCB) statement and proof of address BEFORE registering for Camp. There is a limit to our subsidy funding, therefore, the subsidy is not guaranteed.

Payment Policy

A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. Refunds are based on the remaining balance.

Camp Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued if a reservation is cancelled by a participant within 14 days of the session start date. Otherwise, camp fees are refundable, less a 15% administration fee. Please note, registrations are non-transferable.  

Refunds for camps will be made if requested by email according to the schedule listed below. An in-house credit can also be obtained instead of a refund. This credit can be put towards other camps, programs, or membership fees if guidelines below are met. Refunds on credit cards are subject to the administrative fee deducted from the total amount. We reserve the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in cases of illness. Requests for cancellations or refunds must be made in writing and submitted to kidsprograms@universitysettlement.ca.

Refund Schedule
  • Refunds requested at least 15 days before start of the camp: 85% refund of remaining balance
  • Refunds requested 7 to 14 days before start of the camp: 75% refund of remaining balance
  • Refunds requested less than 7 days before start of the camp: 50% credit to your account
  • Refunds requested after the start of camp: No refunds offered

Transfer Policy

We will accommodate requests to transfer your child from your original registered program to another program provided:

  1. Your request is made at least five (5) business days before the first day of the requested program’s start date
  2. Space is available in the requested program.
  3. $10 Transfer fee will be applied to your account

Program Modifications

We may modify, add, or delete activities from the program based on camper interests, facility space and weather alerts, etc.

Code of Conduct

University Settlement Community Centre Camps has a place Code of Conduct and Camper Expectations that all campers, Leaders-in-Training, and Counsellors-in-Training are expected to follow. We reserve the right to dismiss a camper who, in their opinion, is a hazard to the safety or rights of others, or who appears to have rejected the reasonable expectations of the camp as set by the Code of Conduct.

Refunds or credits are not available if a camper is dismissed from the Day Camp program.

Annual Agency Membership

Annual Agency Membership is required for all families participating in programs/activities at University Settlement (this includes one adult and up to 5 children – your partner can be listed as your child’s authorized pick up and emergency contact; if your spouse is interested in registering in programs for themselves, they will need to sign up for their own membership).
