Badminton is one of the most popular sports at University Settlement. Unfortunately, due to flooring issues in the Gymnasium we are only able to open one court at the present time.

Open to players 18+ years old. All skill levels welcome.

Badminton sessions must be pre-booked. No drop-ins.


One court: 6 players maximum. Doubles games with alternates.

Please note:

  • Due to the high demand, badminton players are limited to 1 session per day in the evenings.
  • On Saturdays, players may book up to 2 sessions but require a 2nd punch from the front desk.


Included in Grange Fitness Centre Membership (or purchase an annual University Settlement Membership and pay $50 for 10 sessions).

Health and safety is our top priority. It is everyone’s responsibility. We all need to work together to keep each other safe.

Pre-Book Your Activity Online

All activities/sessions must be pre-booked. No drop-ins. Pre-book your activity/session online using our new online portal: PickTime. See below for more details.

Arrive 15 Minutes Early to Check-in and Complete Screening

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your fitness session begins. Everyone must complete COVID-19 symptom screening when they arrive. You can complete your screening questionnaire online to speed up the process.

Wear a Mask

Mask wearing is mandatory in all public spaces but not during your workout session.

Maintain Physical Distance

Everyone must maintain a physical distance of 6 feet at all times (including when inside the Locker Rooms). Don’t work out immediately next to someone. There are only two treadmills in service to allow physical distancing.

Bring Your Own Gear and Drinking Water

Bring any gear you need, including your own water bottle (filled). Water fountains are not available at this time.

Online Pre-Booking Required

To help keep you safe, we are limiting the number of participants. To participate, you must pre-book your workout on PickTime scheduling portal.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to use the reservation you have made for a Badminton session, please cancel it right away. Reservations will be held for 15 minutes. If you arrive later than 15 minutes, you will lose your priority and your spot will be given to another member.

With our limited capacity, the Badminton session may be totally booked. Please be considerate of your fellow members and cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend. Thank you.
