Biography
Rosalind Saunders (or Miss Rosie) is a dancer, actor, singer, and musician from Stirling, Ontario. She is excited to bring her fun, energetic self into this role as a dance teacher. Throughout her childhood she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe and then pursued a diploma in Music Theatre Performance at St. Clair College where she studied ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance alongside a curriculum of acting and singing.
Rosalind spent a year in Sligo, Ireland studying acting at Atlantic Technological University before returning home. Some of her highlights include playing Eithne Ignuba in The Death of Cuchulainn, Zackie Salmon/Dr. Cantway in The Laramie Project, and singing in the Sligo Orpheus Choir. Most recently, Rosalind worked as a child supervisor for Blyth Festival’s 2023 production of A Huron County Christmas Carol and also stepped in as an emergency replacement for Fanny and the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Rosalind has involved herself in many different ways within the performing arts, including as a choreographer, production assistant, child supervisor, chorister, member of community bands, and door volunteer, and she is thrilled to add this role as dance teacher with University Settlement’s Music & Arts School to the list!
