Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday, is the last day before the long fast for Lent for some Christians in Canada. It often coincides with or falls close to the dates for the winter carnival celebrations that occur in the January/February period.
University Settlement’s Holiday Schedule is as follows:
December 23: Open 7:00am-12:30pm
Dec 24-Jan 2: CLOSED
Jan 3: Regular hours resume, open at 7:00am
Please note: LINC classes will end on December 16th for the holiday break. The new term will resume on January 3rd, 2017.

We are looking for a Volunteer Photographer to help us capture the best moments of the 2016 Grange Festival happening August 5th. The festival attracts thousands of families every year that come to play, participate in the activities, and above all have fun.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Volunteer photographer, with his/her own equipment, to help us capture the best moments of our 2016 Annual General Meeting. Happening June 21st, the University Settlement AGM is and annual meeting of our general membership. This is an important event where board members are elected and our annual report is presented.

As many of you may have noticed, Grange Park is under construction – mud, protective fences, and tractors are everywhere. But what you may not know is that a huge revitalization project is underway, and the results will be worth the wait.
