Biography

Ewa is an internationally renowned jazz vocalist, well known for her truly genuine interpretation of jazz standards, Brazilian classics, gospel spirituals, blues, and recently even classical opera.

She started her musical career at the age of 8 as a cellist and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies at Concordia University in Montreal. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in music composition from York University and is currently a 5th year PhD student in at the previously mentioned institution.

With over 25 years of experience in music pedagogy including preparation of students for examinations in the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program levels 1 through 10 for voice and theory, Ewa specializes in teaching jazz vocal technique, interpretation, and improvisation, as well as all genres of popular music, such as Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Metal, Soul, Blues, Gospel, Jazz, and Musical Theatre to students of all ages and levels of advancement.
